Finally Legal in Los Angeles.

I'm finally legal out here in Los Angeles and I'm so psyched, I had to create a blog!  I know, medical marijuana has been legal in California for a while now, but not everyone who is eligible has bothered to get a license.  The truth of the matter is, there are a number of very real and legitimate conditions that can qualify you for medical marijuana.  California is one of the most well-known states with a legalized medical marijuana law.


Happy Medical Clinic - My First Official Prescription

I was thrilled when I walked through the doors of Happy Medical Clinic.  I beamed all over as I sank down in the comfortable bud green sofa and proceeded to do my paperwork.  I knew that in just a short time, I would never have to hassle with getting my needed meds again.  Anyone that has a legitimate medical condition should have a right to medicate with cannabis, regardless of whether they live in Los Angeles or not.  In fact, like most medical marijuana smokers, I look forward to the day when marijuana is legal.  Then I won't have to deal with the stigma associated with cannabis.

My objective is to get as familiar with as many Los Angeles based medical marijuana dispensaries as possible.  California is already one of the states that has some tolerable marijuana laws, but Los Angeles is a particularly 420 friendly city.  Attempting to visit many, if not all of the available medical cannabis sites will definitely be a slow, yet enjoyable process :-)  As I begin making my way to different spots, I know I'll keep returning to Happy Medical Clinic, the place where I lost my virginity, so to speak.  To me, they'll always be my first!

ATF Buds from my First Dispensary Visit

This photo is a picture of a couple of ATF buds.  ATF was my first official prescription after I paid a well overdue visit to Happy Medical Clinic.  The dispensary I visited was natural Remedies Caregivers Deciding not to put it off any longer, I got my butt up one weekday afternoon and made a point to visit the Happy Medical Clinic that a friend had referred me to.  June 2, 2011, I finally made it down there for a medical referral.  

I was formerly diagnosed with both cubital tunnel and medial epicondylitis in my right wrist and elbow.  I knew I qualified for medical marijuana, based on California laws.  I had refused to get the surgeries that the doctors recommended, so I still experience chronic pain regularly.  


Following my doctor visit, I headed over to Natural Remedies Caregivers and got a 5 gram eighth of the ATF above.  Needless to say, my first visit to an actual dispensary was AWESOME! It was all I could do to not drool all over the glass cases.  I was worst than a kid in a candy store, though I must say, I managed to contain my emotions pretty damn good!  


I look forward to opening up and sharing my thoughts, feelings and experiences about marijuana here in this blog and I welcome others to come, read and do the same.  I'm no expert, nor will I ever profess to be.  These are just my thoughts on the whole topic of marijuana, including views on the different strains I run across.  I hope you stay tuned.
